Coronavirus: Temporary Office Closure

Effective March 19, 2020 – to ensure the safety & health of our employees and to meet the recommendations of the CDC, ADHS and Maricopa County Department of Public Health, our office will be temporarily closed to the public. We will continue to serve our communities by conducting business through email, phone, or by appointment only. We are continuing to receive mail and all other operations will function as normal.

Payments
As usual, all payments should be mailed to PO Box 65493, Phoenix AZ 85082-5493. Don’t forget that you are able to make payments online through MyAccountPortal. In-person payments will not be accepted in the office. We are aware that some homeowners may experience financial hardship as a result of the coronavirus. If you are impacted, please contact Preferred Communities to discuss payment options BEFORE your payment is late.

Common Areas/Facilities
All clubhouse and pools are temporarily closed based on the CDC, ADHS and Maricopa County Department of Public Health recommendations regarding social distancing. If your community has a playground, these will remain open. However, please use these at your own risk, as the equipment is not cleaned on a daily basis. Please maintain “Social Distancing” in all common areas, which is the idea of maintaining a roughly 6-foot distance between people.

Board Meetings
Board Meetings through the end of April have either been canceled or postponed. If a Board Meeting is required during this time, it will be held via teleconference/virtual meeting. All homeowners will be notified of any meetings via email and will have the opportunity to join.

Compliance Inspections
While we understand that this is an unprecedented time in our lives, the common areas and homeowner properties do need to be maintained. This means that the compliance inspection will continue. We are all in this together, so please don’t think we take pleasure in conducting compliance inspections and sending violation notices. We’d rather not, however, we are sure you agree that we don’t want the community to become an eyesore with unkempt yards and weeds everywhere. If you do receive a notice and disagree with it, please contact Preferred Communities. Again, we are all in this together and we are here to talk through any issues.
